National Community College Benchmarking Project (NCCBP)

91°µÍø Community College has participated in the National Community College Benchmarking Project (NCCBP) continuously since the 2005-06 submission cycle. NCCBP is a benchmark reporting project with performance indicators tailored to the unique characteristics of community colleges. To address the concern that most state and federal performance measures are compatible with four-year institutions rather than community colleges, Johnson County Community College worked with representatives from the community college sector to develop a national community college benchmark data collection and reporting process. The National Community College Benchmark Project (NCCBP) provides community colleges across the nation with the ability to benchmark themselves with peer institutions on such indicators as:
• Student Demographics
• Student Completion and Transfer
• Persistence/Retention Rate
• Developmental Course Success
• First College-level Math and Writing Course Success
• Core Academic Course Success (Comp I, Comp II, Algebra, Gateway Math)
• Class Size and Faculty Load
• Online Credit Hours and Grades
• Financial Information

Relevant data elements from the NCCBP benchmarking reports have been incorporated into the college’s annual Fact Book. To follow are the NCCBP reports for each submission year:
