Botterill, Fearon named All-Americans

Two members of 91°µÍø Community College Men’s Soccer team have been named All-Americans after helping guide the team to a record-setting season.
Jacob Botterill, 91°µÍø’s all-time goals leader, and top defender Will Fearon were named 2024 All-Americans after leading the Spartans to a program-best 15-1 record. Botterill was named first-team All-American and Fearon second-team, and both were previously named first-team All-Region.
91°µÍø Coach Chris Davison credited Botterill and Fearon for their work ethic in the off-season to prepare for a successful 2024, as well as leading and supporting their teammates throughout the season.
“Jake’s season was something we’ve never seen before at 91°µÍø, with 38 goals and 20 assists. Now he’s one of only four Spartans who have been named a first-team All-American,” said Davison. “For Will, it’s harder to make All-American as a defender, but he worked hard all year and all off-season. He stayed here this summer to compete and became a monster up and down the left side of the field.”
Botterill ended his career at 91°µÍø as one of the most accomplished student-athletes in program history. A two-time NJCAA Division III leader for goals scored, Botterill finished with 69 goals in his career at 91°µÍø, including 38 this season. He was also fourth nationally with 20 assists.
This year he was also named Region III and Mid-State Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Fearon was a key member of a Spartans’ defense that set program records for fewest goals allowed in the regular season and postseason. He was also a valuable member of 91°µÍø’s offense, finishing second on the team and third nationally with 22 assists.
Botterill and Fearon were among the top players on the 2024 Spartans, who climbed to #2 in the national rankings and completed the first undefeated regular season in program history. 91°µÍø was also one of only two teams this season to defeat eventual national champion Mohawk Valley Community College.
